Statement

Trevor Chamberlain's main subjects of interest are marine, figure, town and landscape, with particular emphasis on atmosphere and light. He paints alla prima from life, using oils and watercolours.

Bio

1933 Born in Hertford, with no formal Art School training. He worked initially as an Architect’s Assistant

1964 Began painting professionally

1971 Elected a Member of the Royal Society of Marine Artists

1972 Elected a Member of the Royal Institute of Oil Painters

Currently serve on the Council of both the Royal Society of Marine Artists and the Royal Institute of Oil Painters
