Antony Williams works almost exclusively in egg tempera, which can be a painstaking and exacting medium, but one which allows him to express a feeling he has about the look of the world.
Antony is the Vice President of the Royal Society of Portrait Painters and a member of the New English Art Club.

Antony Williams wins the Herbert Smith Freehills Portrait Award 2024
Antony Williams has been named the winner of the Herbert Smith Freehills Portrait Award 2024, the National Portrait Gallery's 42nd Portrait Award.
Antony is a member and Vice President of the Royal Society of Portrait Painters. He has previously had his artwork selected to hang in the Portrait Award Exhibition on 10 previous occasions and, notably, won Third Prize in 2017.

RP Member Antony Williams was awarded The Changing Faces Portrait Commissions Prize in 2010 by The Royal Society of Portrait Painters.
