Statement
Her work is distinguished by a calm and meditative quality, and although echoing the work of 20th century painters as diverse as Morandi, Uglow, and Fedden, it is entirely her own, hard won in form and detail.
Methodology
Bays uses oil paints to breathing new life into her subjects, which vary from still life, portraits, nudes and landscapes. While her work exudes a calm and meditative quality, she has recently introduced an abstract nature into her practice, which was previously purely representational. As a result, her work is unique in detail and form.
Bio
Bays has attended several institutions to pursue her artistic passions, including Roehampton University, Epsom School of Art & Design, and Farnham School of Art & Design.
