Diana Charnley NEAC

Methodology

Charnley's practice combines memory with observation. Taken from historical archives and her own photographs, her references and sources inform a series of sequential drawings she composes before starting a painting. She uses this method to explore the relationship between lived human experience with man made environments, nature, and objects.

Bio

Charnley received a First Class BA Hons from BCUC, before receiving her MA from Goldsmiths College in London. Throughout her career, she has held posts at London Film School, Royal College of Art and National Film, and Television School.
