Lisa Graa Jensen likes to illustrate people and animals involved in everyday life in a cheerful, colourful way. Her life, spent part in a rural French farming village and part on a canal boat in Warwickshire, often provides inspiration.
Having trained in Graphic Design at Camberwell School of Arts and Crafts and now based in Wimbledon, her works can frequently be seen adorning jigsaws, editorial content, calendars, greetings cards, books and magazines, such as Country Life. In the past, she has worked for the Radio Times and BBC For Schools and on many children's books.
She is a member of the Royal Institute of Painters in Water Colours (elected in 1996), the Worple Group, Wimbledon and Richmond Art Society.
Awards in recent years include: the Debra Manifold Prize (Mall Galleries 2020), the Artists and Illustrators Award 2017 (3rd prize) and Global Artists of the Year Award 2016 (Bridgeman Images and Global Artists).
