Statement

The work I do is a combination of visual communication and personal expression. I use humour/satire to convey my ideas as this is what comes naturally but it is also an effective way to deliver an often difficult message. I enjoy the challenge and craftsmanship involved in the different forms of printmaking and began my career as one of only a handful of printmakers worldwide practicing the mezzotint technique in the United Kingdom.

Over the years I have gained 20+ print-industry awards including the RSBA Print Award, People’s Choice Award (Bankside Gallery) and David Gluck RE Memorial Award.

I have exhibited worldwide and have been accepted into the very prestigious Royal Academy Summer Show a total of 17 times, which is quite an achievement. I was elected as a member of the Royal Society of Painter Print-Makers in 1996 and am also a long-term member of the artist collaborative Southbank Printmakers.
