Nick Tidnam NEAC PPRBA

Statement

Nick worked for EMI, Rolls Royce, IBM and ICL and has contributed to the Watson-Guptill publication 'Learn to Paint and Draw' in 2003 and the Cassell published 'Oils and Acrylics' in 2004. His works are in public and private collections in the UK and private collections in the USA, Australia, Germany, Greece, India, and France.

Nick is a member of The London Sketch Club, indeed the Camberwell habit of using one's sketchbook daily is still maintained. He now lives in Rochester where he has a studio opening into the garden which together with walking and looking at people and places both here and abroad are very inspirational to his work.

Bio

Born in Leicestershire and brought up in London.

Nick studied at Camberwell School of Art in the sixties when he was lucky enough to have Christopher Chamberlain, Dick Lee and Michael Rothenstein as tutors to name just a few.

Nick was elected a member of the Royal Society of British Artists in 2001. In 2017, Nick was elected President of the Royal Society of British Artists.
