Statement
I grew up on the Kent coast where the sea became my playground with boating, fishing, and crabbing.
I was always fascinated with the many moods of the sea and how the changing weather altered the colours from deep blues and greens to stormy yellow greys.
Methodology
Whilst travelling, I work on watercolours and sketching, and take photos as the mood often changes in seconds.
These form the ground to what I hope will be a finished painting. Frequently, I am not always happy with the finished results, or I do not feel I am capturing what I remember!
