Bio

Richard grew up in the port town of Lowestoft and his familiarity with the maritime environment has provided a recurrent theme in his paintings.

Working mostly in oils, light is often the focus of his work, and he is especially fond of the delicate and transient quality of light that is so characteristic of the east coast of Britain.
