I am inspired to create art by a combination of reading and travel. An imperative proportion of the sources for such works must include historical/cultural elements as I aim to include aspects that transcend purely scenic considerations. Art has more to do with moving mountains than bank managers.
Ian has recently been awarded the Richard Plinke Prize in 2023.
Methodology
One can’t probe the entire gamut of human emotions using a double sable brush alone. Begin your statement with a shovel, evincing to your chosen medium as much disrespect as possible. Be patient for results; in terms of weeks, months, perhaps years, if you pursue some edification of the soul, and relegate vanity to the gutter.
