Kenny McKendry
Kenny was newly elected in 2024. Born in Bangor, County Down, he obtained a BA Hons in Illustration from Brighton University, being tutored by the greats such as Raymond Briggs and John Lord. A 12-year career in publishing subsequently followed.
Returning to Ireland in 1998, his practice in portraiture steadily gained momentum. Principally working from his studio in County Antrim, Kenny frequently travels to clients throughout the UK and abroad.
Kenny's notable sitters include John Hume KCSG, Nobel Laureate, Baroness May Blood MBE, Ciaran Hinds, actor and many more.
