The Royal Institute of Oil Painters Annual Exhibition showcases work by many of the UK’s most exciting young painters alongside the work of more established names. It is an opportunity to gauge the continued evolution of oil painting in this country and to see how it is a fundamental and vital part of the art world.
This year’s special display is on the theme ‘Changing Times’, which has been interpreted widely by the exhibiting artists.
Offering valuable prizes such as The Phyllis Roberts Award (worth £2,000) for an artist aged 30 or under, and the Winsor & Newton Young Artist Awards, the Institute continues to lay the foundations for future generations to enjoy and achieve artistic expression with this most adaptable and durable medium.
