A limited quantity of soft pastels, charcoal, and paper will be provided, plus participants may bring their own materials as well.
Free with gallery admission, no booking required.

Artist Talk & Tour | Annie Boisseau
Wednesday 5 March, 2pm
Member of the Royal Society of British Artists, Annie Boisseau, will talk about her working methods and lead a guided tour of the RBA Annual Exhibition with the opportunity for questions and answers.
Annie says, "I see my work as a contemporary interpretation of the tradition of Romantic landscape painting. It is inspired by an emotional response to the natural world, investigating the often transient qualities of time, space, memories or emotions with expressive semi-abstract painting. My painting process evolves through transforming and abstracting the subject. Layers of transparent paint are applied to the surface to create an atmospheric quality that suggests an unveiling or discovery of the poetic mystery of the landscape."
Annie has exhibited regularly with the Royal Society of British Artists (RBA), Mall Galleries, London. In 2017 she received The Winsor & Newton Award for painting at the RBA Annual Exhibition. Annie has also shown at Mall Galleries with the Pastel Society and Discerning Eye. Her work has also been included in many International Art Fairs such as The Olympia Art Fair, London, and The 20/21 British Art Fair. In 2024, Annie won The Michael Harding Award at the RBA Annual Exhibition.
Free with gallery admission, no booking required.
Lecture | Dancing in the Dark; a War Artist's Journey
Wednesday 5 March, 6pm to 8:30pm
A talk by Arabella Dorman, an award-winning artist whose work explores the realities of modern conflict, its immediate impacts and long-term consequences, and the light that can be born out of the darkness of war.

Printmaking Demonstration | Vicky Oldfield
Thursday 6 March, 11am to 4pm
Painter, printmaker, artist Vicky Oldfield will demonstrate her printmaking technique in the gallery.
Vicky’s strong images are created using collagraphs, an experimental form of printmaking. The prints are taken from plates which have been collaged with a variety of materials, card, fabric, paper, string, sand and anything else that may come to hand; it’s recycling at its most creative! The plates are then sealed and then inked up and printed in intaglio or relief on damp paper using an etching press. The embossed textural quality of the print is unique to this method.
Continually inspired by plants, objects and the animals that surround her, her pictures are an atmospheric response to the beauty and drama of her daily life.
Vicky was elected a member of the Royal Society of British Artists in 2021. In 2022, she published a book, Mixed-Media Collagraph Prints with Crowood Press.
Free with gallery admission, no booking required.
